Your focus will be on attracting, servicing, and retaining clients. You’ll build strong relationships, ensure their trips exceed expectations, and provide exceptional service. Plus, chase your own travel dreams while you build a successful business doing what you love.
If you commit to investing the time and effort, we'll equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to build a successful travel business.
By investing at least 20-30 hours a week during the first 90 days, you will complete the TICO Travel Counsellor Exam, familiarize yourself with our systems and tools, and gain product knowledge. Additionally, you will learn effective strategies for generating leads, building a customer database, and selling vacations.
Expedia Cruises charges a one-time system access fee of $449+HST plus an ongoing monthly technology fee of $19+HST for your personal website, email account, and technology licenses. These are typically written off against commission income on your tax return.
All new businesses have a start-up period where there is no revenue. Your initial goal will be to have as many travel conversations as possible to begin making sales. You will start to receive revenue as your customers begin to travel. The more effort you invest up front secures greater payoff later.
Firstly, this is a FUN business to be in. We encourage travel advisors to experience their own travel dreams, so they are equipped to return home and share those experiences and knowledge while helping their clients. Plus, there are opportunities for discounted travel and many of our supplier partners offer free or almost free learning opportunities.
